Straight looks good...

Two possibilities from me:

RapidX
--RapidShow
--RapidDraw
--Rapid3D

or

PerfectX
--PerfectShow
--PerfectDraw
--Perfect3D

OpenDX is already taken by IBM, MediaDX by Data Description, and don't talk about MediaX... :?

A short name like "oDX" (ROX already exist an could be involved !) would be great, but the best choice seems to be

ReactX (...if you wanna underline the ReactOS derivation...)

in alternative keep MediaDLX (google report no results for it) / MediaLX (MediaLShow, MediaL3D, MediaL... sounds a bit "ethereal", dont' you ?) in consederation. 8)

Last but not least, involve Open Source DirectX Control author in some way...

IMHO we could put some "bad guy" name

some examples:

- FireX

- SharkX

- SparkX

- SpeedX

i find "reactx" nice, too... or we could just call them RDX (but it' very close to the "original" name)

What about keeping the Direct and changing the X?
Like DirectZ, or Direct+ ;) XDirect

Or FunX, as I guess most people associate DX with games,
and games are fun :P ... ok forget about that...

MI could also be a suffix, for media interface, so DirectMI, SuperMI,
RapidMI, StraightMI etc.

This sounds like a Linux flavour, and it is confusingly similar to Greatlordish that is his own plus-package for any language he speak ;-)
If Greatlord should be in the name GreatX sounds cool to me. But then should we should rename Kernel KernelION, win32k win32seek and plug n' play plug n' pussin? Hehe, these sounds actually pretty cool.
