I'm happy to see a lot of new designers :D

@switchboy
I'm busy again and need some time. I think I'll leave the X's behind AND make the forward X larger.

You found something, I didn't think about before: If we look on a piramide from top it looks like an X. The color combination is very good, but the big pyramid needs some improvements in my eyes.

I like the light behind

I looks very good :) I'll make it as svg till weekend. I think it also needs a background. I'm thinking about your rectangle with the light behind and in grayscale but I'm not sure yet.

@MundaneRaptor
I know it is just a snapshot of your work but here is my feedback:
+I like the glowing effect at the end of the virus "tentacles"
+I like the fire idea
-I don't like the light in the middle of the X
-I don't like the font and the green part of fire
Hope it helps making your logo better

@creambase
A lot better than your first proposal. The X is perfect edit: awesome :) , but the angle of react is not very advantageous.

Tip: fancy effects don't make a logo good. Any logo should be good in black/white as well.
It compiles, let's ship it!

Thx, i'll take them into consideration and release something this weekend...

PS: creambase, those are 1337 looking... they look a little to close to the microsoft logo's though... those greedy guys might give us trouble...

...just a moment to return back into REALITY (or should I say "functionality" ?), here's an interesting link:

How about only taking the top of the piramid with the carved in react OS logo?

I would make the height oft the "a-glow" smaller, because you have to think about an icon of it (height=width)
edit: good job of course :D

@MundaneRaptor
1337? microsoft logo? What logo do you mean?

@switchboy
Try and see how it looks, but I think we shouldn't use the full orginal ReactOS logo and make a "small" change on it. It wouldn't look very originally i think. Carving effect could be generally a good idea but it has to fit to Design.

First one looks best, but a different interior colour would be necessary.

I like these. The simplicity is good.
It's best to work on the basic designs first, then worry about the artsy-fartsy stuff after you've got that worked out. Other people would be wise to learn from this example.

Yeah, simplicity is good, but at least font should be the official ROS one (not just for greg).

line 1: sorry, don't like this

line 2: good, but colors could be better

line 3: too MACish...

BTW good job mate !

that last one actually does look pretty nice.. I liked greggreg's simple logos, but the "X" was too simple
