Windirstat is a wonderful GNU, open source disk usage visualizer

edit: it worked perfectly for me, the visual glitch on the top right tabs was sorted out as soon as I interacted with them- didn't think to take the screenshot with it fixed though

A SafeDisk v3 unpacker, written in C, licnesed under the publican domain, and built for windows. Parts of the code could be used with ReactOS, but I havn't a clue if such eqevilent is in the system already.

I'm not really sure where's the need for an safedisk unpacker in ReactOS.

The mentioned PDFLite / muPDF would be nice for an viewer. JPG, TIFF, PDF, and other will be an nice feature. Also I'm not sure why an printer is needed in system. There are hundreds of free PDF-Printer based of Ghostscript. Why build in?

I agree. I'm no lawyer, and I believe there could be trouble if we incorporated any parts of anti copy protection code and that we should leave it alone. If an end user wants to do something with it, that is on them, not us.

And I agree that common readers and viewers would come in handy. They can be options in RAPPs or something. We are not motivated the same as a certain corporation, so there is no need to directly include stuff just to weaken competition. Thus users should get to choose what they want for things.

Well, the thought came to me since many Windows games use SafeDisk, and would likely solve a lot of issues of disk installations that require the CD remain present.

Hi there,

I just read "Read this if you've found software useful to ReactOS" - I didn't find the chart, so I guess this post is for people who like to report a software which is already running on ReactOS.

Today I like to report that Win32Forth is running on ReactOS.
I tested it on build 62608.

Win32Forth is the Forth development system for Windows Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/W2K/XP/VISTA/WIN7 and Win8.

It is easy to use and will be helpful for testing and debugging ReactOS.

I copied the essential Win32Forth-Files – Win32for.exe, fkernel.exe, WIN32FOR.DBG, Win32for.cfg and Win32forUser.cfg to a Floppy, copied these files with ReactOS Explorer to drive C: – then started Win32for.exe – programming works and all 2557 words can be listed.

Now I am working on getting VisualFORTH (programming GUIs with Forth instead of BASIC) running on ReactOS.
VisualFORTH just fits on a 3" floppy disk, but ReactOS doesn't like to see it.

Maybe we could use 7zip Code for making ReactOS Explorer able to open Archives. Windows is only support zip files.

Or we just provide the link as we do right now. This is enough for the current state by far.

I am planning on writing a zip shell extension at some point... don't think it's too hard.

VDMSound is a modular, extendable soundcard emulator for MS Windows NT/2000 DOS boxes.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/vdmsoun ... ecommended

VDMSound also gets more and more broken as you upgrade windows, and doesn't even work past Vista.

"... for MS Windows NT/2000 Dos Boxes" (emphasis mine). It's meant to provide a virtual sound card for DOS Box when run on NT/2000.

Which is a little confusing, now that I think about it. Doesn't Dos Box include an emulated SoundBlaster Live or something like that? I use DOS Box occasionally to run Win3.1 games, and sound support has always been there "out of the box". ;)

It extends Windows' NTVDM by adding a Sound Blaster emulation, thus giving sound for many games/programs (ones that are SB compatible)
Is unrelated to DOSBox, DOSBox has its own sound emulation system.

What I would like to see, is something that does said SB emulation but also works on Windows 7, because I use Windows 7. Even just OPL3 would be cool.
DOSBox doesn't count because it doesn't integrate with the console, it launches its own window.

EDIT: Apparently it also works on Windows 7, but wont install correctly and needs manual file placement.
It's still useless due to lack of fullscreen support in the new driver model.

Would be great as I love 7zip.
