some benchmarks on reactos?

Post by walter »

has anyone tried running superpi or other similar programs in reactos? i think it would be nice to seee the results... and, if they are better than windows on the same hw, it could be useful to help spreading the voice about reactos

all of this IMHO

wasn't there a benchmark of the gui before? which showed reactos significantly faster in some aspects

but then obviously slower in some too, or did i dream it?....

Hi
yes we did speed test the gdi drawing speed for bitblt
and the frist test show we where slower as hell againts windows
after some optimize of bitblt with some part writen in asm
we kick ass of windows software bitblt

so part are slower that windows some part is faster

the worst slowest part of the graphic I known direcly
is our font subustem in gdi32/win32k

We need more information on this to be able to compare it, as 450 mhz says litte about a processor. We need to know the type in order to be able to compare. If you could, would you be kind enough to run that test on that same computer on both WIndows XP/2000/what you've got and ReactOS, and post both results here?
And also try to post some more specs, at least whether it's an AMD k6-2, Athlon XP, Duron, Intel Pentium II/III, Celeron or something is valuable, but the rest of the specs would be nice too...
