Most of us use a single rewriteable CD for this purpose.Mr Van Dildrass wrote:My problem is, that I have to waste new CD for every new build
Unfortunately not.Mr Van Dildrass wrote:My question is: Is it possible install ROS directly from HD?

Although if you had two operating systems and if you are willing to build, then you can update the files wihtout having to burn a new cd.GvG wrote:Most of us use a single rewriteable CD for this purpose.Mr Van Dildrass wrote:My problem is, that I have to waste new CD for every new buildUnfortunately not.Mr Van Dildrass wrote:My question is: Is it possible install ROS directly from HD?
Installing from anywere
Hello, I remember when I installed win95 beta the first time on an old computer, I used Unet.exe and Attach.exe (parallell cabel network driver for DOS to create a drive on the computer without CD and then used the old win3.11wg as host for this installation. Then it was only to cd to that disk and type setup and then win95 installed through the parallell cable, we should really have an option to install from any directory! I used to install win2k directly from a directory om my HD too, how convenient!
Is this really a hard thing to fix?

You can iirc use a (modified) freeloader disc to install reactos.Jaix wrote:Is this really a hard thing to fix?
