ROS from a Boot Drive?

Post by tomleem »

“Want to run Linux any time, any place? Here's what to do with popular distributions like Puppy Linux, Ubuntu, and Fedora, so you can boot up directly from your thumb drive.”

Could one install ROS from an USB drive using the above method? :?:

SpoonmAn is right, until we have sufficient USB support we woant be able to install to a USB drive, but ReactOS will support USB as boot drive in the future, so you will be able to install and run ReactOS on a thumb drive.

You can get usb sticks 4gig+ for under $20. They also have IDE and maybe sata adapters for compact flash cards. http://www.memorydepot.com/ssd/index.asp
So Install the main OS to something like that and put swap and temp folders which change a lot on HD. Should give a really fast booting system.
