well I have e-mailed the bloke that was doing the splash newsletter,
maybe we should list a few news storys to make it easier for him/someone to pick up
the items I can think of are:
0.2.6 release
reactos game (lots of posts on the forum and in the wiki)
maybe this thread maybe has enough content for a story http://www.reactos.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=634
USB update
networking update
next release rumors
the wiki, could have a artical
if I get time I will write one of them myself

yes, that seems a good idea, it will also get people used to doing press type things (ready for the 0.3 push)Sami wrote:Would it be any help to add Splash working place under Press kit (wiki) , so any one could add news storys there. Then there should be one person who would check the texts from Press kit and publish them in Splash. This might make it easier, what you think
A newsletter before the next release is needed IMHO.
the format of splash is good, but if it going to be a group effort we need to understand the framework, which seems to be. (roughy)
big story
Notable News
a large bug was killed
a hardware story
a working app story
network update (because everyone whats to know)
USB update (because everyone whats to know)
Recent SVN Activity
I think that whole point of splash is to provide what people want to know, with out them having to search the wiki or forum or go to IRC, a summary of the past months work.
people do need to see that loads of progress is being made.
I did some changes to http://reactos.com/wiki/index.php/Press ... newsletter

Why not move Splash to http://reactos.com/wiki/index.php/Current_events ?
I just want to add that the big brother of ReactOS Splash is called Linux Kernel Traffic. It might be a soure of insperation.
Because it's not an event ? (A Event for example is WineConf)denzil wrote:Why not move Splash to http://reactos.com/wiki/index.php/Current_events ?
Where do you want ReactOS to go today ?
