GIT

LUK had switched to GIT and the git server will be open to public in this month. Does reactos intend to switch to GIT?

hi, Haos

LUK developes its codes to integrate reactos, wine and other projects' codes to add win32 subsystem into linux. It stands on the shoulders of giants.

It doesnt integrates ReactOS, but only ReactOS kernel. As for Win32 subsystem, its the WINE part only. Thus, let me rephrase my question. Did you manage to run on LUK anything from Windows, that would not run on WINE itself?

Do you have (or plan to develop) any test suite for the kernel?

I don't find any windows software that can run on LUK but cannot run on WINE so far. LUK project is still in very alpha stage.

LUK team mainly intends to enhance LUK's performence now. Developers are currently working on moving all functions of wineserver into kernel space (put wineserver to kernel module). The next version, LUK 0.2.5, will get rid of wineserver. The wineserver kernel module will be gradually replace by win32 system and others of LUK. The developers are also working hard on the stabilization of SMP. There are a lot of works.

LUK project is short of hands. There are less than 10 people in LUK team. I hope Reactos' guys can help LUK.

Thanks Haos and hto.

Why should we help you if we dont receive anything back from your project (upstream)? Its not like our project is abundant of hands.

As far as I know, there are no gays in the reactos team .... bad luck.
Maybe you could get some of the lesbians in the linux kernel team to help you??

I don't think any offense was meant Ged. It's a typo.

Its a typo and GED chose to make a joke of it, end of story.
Just a word of caution lets avoid involving the project in political wars over a typo. It's hardly worth it.
While I myself am not gay, others in the project could possibly be.
