It's a really good idea to provide the link for something you're recommending: http://virtuawin.sourceforge.net/

I've never used it myself, and I really don't use multiple/virtual desktops myself (even when I'm on Linux).

I doubt it will be included in ReactOS. Remember that the goal is open source Windows compatibility, not (necessarily) new features. But you can install it on ReactOS and use it if you like it - if it works. ;)

It's GPL licensed, so at the very least its possible it could be put into ROSapps.
ReactOS: HP pavilion dv6500.

1. should it be something like in kde, with a Cube and the cube should be able go in back space
(with a picture for background of the back space where the cube in front)
if go to an other workspace, therefor should give a cpl for configuring .

2. should it not be virtual Workspaces, it should be real and extra workspaces who
be all handled by the shell, so also to let show the task in any taskbar or all in his
own Workspace at the taskbar and systray, something in this direction.

It should be able to custom in the workspace.cpl or what ever can give an name :)

different work spaces was in Reactos already , it must easy programming in again.

If you are talking about multiple desktops like in Linux, then ReactOS once came with two desktops, but the feature got dropped and if I remember correctly, a developer said that it would not be re-instated.
Please keep the Windows classic (9x/2000) look and feel.
The layman's guides to - debugging - bug reporting - compiling - with some complementary scripts.
They may help you with a problem, so do have a look at them.

Hi OldMan :)

"a developer" it means not all developer said (and not an officially Statement) ;)
And because the explorer_new it is got feature got dropped, it is not re programmed in again,
yes, but if one it say'd it is long not officially statement (the hope dies at the end!)
Well, in the [strike]Linuxdesktops[/strike] WM's on top of the X have Multiple desktops and
this is a really pretty well usable feature, would it be foolish if didn't not programming in the shell .
(Or at least not allow a native direct support for it in the shell for a real implementation,
and therefor make possible for other to programming an api (like snap/plugin in explorer_new) to support this fully
and make possible to have a stable Workplaces like in Gnome,KDE, ede, windowmaker,Fvwm and Nextstep , same stable ) .

But the developers talk to one another, so he may have made that statement from the knowledge of what others think!

I quite liked the second desktop, so I am not against having it re-instated.

Guys, if you want that software's functionality, just install that software. That's the whole point of ROS, to be able to use Windows software.

Yes, at some point we may want to make it easier to get this functionality, but (a) that should probably happen via rapps (with installation in 2nd stage, and possibly even bundling, to make it easiest), and (b) I doubt it's a priority for anyone right now -- and if it is one for you, then by all means work on it.

What about include it on RApps?
