ROS first run wizard?
Didn't know for sure where this should be... However, since I designed something, I thought it would be the best inhere...
If ROS ever gets a first run wizard, which could be usefull, would this be something?

including the minimize, maximize and close icons... this might very well become a visual style...

yes, ofcourse. If this is going to be used, I think it would be the smartest to use one theme over all parts of installation and the standard GUI... So do the devs, probably....aart3k wrote:I like it too but the first run wizard should look like the other parts of system , but if you can you can design a theme that is felt like yours current work.

Lacks contrast, design wise. Also it's a tad dull. Needs more color.
Try to create lines with your design elements; makes it easier to comprehend. Like isolating the numbers on left side and pushing the text bit to left.
+ too much blur, like the one before me said
+ also the contrast between selected button and not selected should be clearer
Though it might be better to make it look more like the default UI. If you create visually complex wizard, which just doesn't match with "real world" you might end up disappointing users. It gives false expectations. Like rounded corners.

Can't provoke anyone? Why bother posting?

There are very easy programs like stylebuilder to make .msstyle files. Or you can use Resource Hacker to manually replace all the bitmapsgeertvdijk wrote:actually, I have 0 experience in creating .msstyle files, so I don't have a clue how to do it... However, I'll look into it and try...Phalanx wrote:Any work on this, maybe in an theme which will work on xp for now?
