A 100% original/official icon theme for ReactOS?

yes we should chose icon angle and other atributes before we start making icons that true with 16x16 the flat icons can be the best and of course less details on them
like i write before my icons are in gimp raster format xcf (64x64@32 bit) i make those icons on alpha masks and one color field and that make my icons easy to recolorize just change color by one click shadows and lights the same
as soon as i get home i post them here

I don't know exactly why. Maybe licensing. Are they opensource?
Another argumentation would be, we want to have our own unique style designed by us and not copied/bought or whatever.
I'm still working and experimenting on it. I made a list of effects/properties an icon set could have. I combine them and try to find out which combination of effects would look best. It can take some weeks to present a preview and discuss about my results.

why not just support .png icons alongside .ico icons? you'd instantly give yourself options from a huge linux selection.Z98 wrote:One minor problem. There doesn't appear to be a Windows version, so we'd have to convert them over to the Windows icon format. Though this does look somewhat promising. However, I'm not sure if mf would care for this.

Crystal Clear icons come in all formats, are are free under the LGPL license (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNU_Lesser ... ic_License), so there should be no licensing issues, so long as they are given credit for the icons. I highly recommend using icons from them for ReactOS because they already exist and because they are of excellent quality. Mf told me that they actually did use icons from the author of Crystal Clear a few years ago, but people didn't like them, but that is confusing to me since people like the Crystal Clear icons. Anyhow, I'm sure ReactOS is going to get a great icon set.
