What happened to the reactos bootscreen? Bring it back!
Vote now!(No space wasting comments please)

What would you like?
ReactOS 0.2.0 style:
[ external image ]
ReactOS 0.3.1 style:
[ external image ]

And should they have a progress bar, or animated bar, or none!
(by animated bar, I meen what xp has, with blue sliding dots, which give no indication of progress)

You DO realize that it's because of a bug, right?

You also realise the 0.2.x bootscreen will never come back, because I don't have the source image for it?
It compiles, let's ship it!

Wow! I didn't know that. Well, I did sort-of know. Because I could not boot reactos 0.3.1, and it had the bootscreen. It just hanged.
Whilst later reactos didn't have it, and now the livecd(not to mention installed version) works! By the way, it may be better to have a static bootscreen appear, then load the files. This way, it is less likely to be error-prone and would result in a more successful startup, if you know what I meen.

The current method simulates a checked build boot. It's cool :)

Before posting questions like this, shouldn't them be asked first to the devs or mods via IRC or PM?

'Probably' they really know how is the status of some issues (like this one) and the usefulness of polls (like this one).

The 2.0 looks very well. It is a pity that it will be lost. Probably there should be 2 versions? One with 2.0 bootscrees and another with 3.1 bootscreen? For example server and home distros.

I thnks there should be a standard boot screen , but also an option where you can customize that screen.

How i about it don't care how it looks as long as it boots?

There are more important matters then a boot screen.

Well, yes, but if you don't think the bootscreen is important, don't come in the design forum!

Console with verbose boot logging on first run and when manually enabled in OS preferences
Else - shiny animated graphic by default.

I'm with Ged, I like the current loading screen, course I LIKE to know what my computer is attempting to load at start up. I think the look of the file loading is Functional yet graphically satisfying. I mean they could have made it look like Windows loading in safe mode. :?
