scandisk or equivalent for which release?
For which release is scandisk or scandskw or fsck.vfat or equivalent planed?
Check http://www.reactos.org/wiki/index.php/Version_Status, if it's not mentioned there it isn't planned yet. You are free to contribute a chkdsk/autochk of course.

So when is it likly to be planed? In 0.2.8.1 or 0.4 or 0.9?
Probably not too soon.GvG wrote: You are free to contribute a chkdsk/autochk of course.

Does it build in your environment out of the box?ged wrote:FreeDOS has a chkdsk here
If yes, what is your build environment? Do you build it inside ReactOS? Or do you have some crosscompile setup?

He was talking about a 16bit application. Then I thought it's a binary packed in a zip.ged wrote:And as Mike said, it could be fat16.
But it is a source package. So it could be built for 32bits.
But of course if it is the case that it only supports fat16 then it's less usefull.
But that's the question whether it supports also fat32.
I found a win32 disk editor and data recovery tool (FAT12/16/32):

(at least one problem remains, the website isn't available anymore ...)

FreeDOS's chkdsk works fine for me... I run FreeDOS on an old Pentium 120. The hard disk is formated FAT32, so the chkdsk has no problems with at least FAT12 (floppy disks usually) and FAT32 (my hard disk :p) it seems. It's logical to assume that it works for FAT16 partitions, but I have none to test.
