Thank you very much.
Last week unfortunately my last PC with a serial port died.
But my friend will be able to test this I think.
If his PC is one of the possibly 20% that sees the problem.
Running on a VM what do you get the real bios or a virtual bios?
Is there a way I can communicate directly with you guys?
Here in the forum is really slow.

Re: CIRRUS ONE freeloader question
With a virtual machine you get a virtual (emulated) bios (that's the case with Microsoft VirtualPC, VirtualBox, VMware, Bochs, etc).

Could one say that the virtualized BIOS
isn't being virtualized accurately.
A possible support call to the VM
people.

Re: CIRRUS ONE freeloader question
I can confirm the existence of the problem. Probably this is because my motherboard is ASUS P5KR, which is similar to the motherboard cirrus one has. Tried official 0.4.2 release and livecd-72452-dbg. The livecd-71365-dbg does indeed work.Error reading NLS file

However there are still issues with USB keyboard/mouse. I'm only able to boot reliably with PS/2 keyboard and with no USB devices plugged in. ROS boots up and then I can plug USB keyboard and mouse in and they're being detected successfully and can be used. If I start ROS while USB devices're plugged in the ROS can either boot or not at random. Most of the time it hangs upon loading of SWENUM.SYS or KBDCLASS.SYS. I guess these drivers handle USB enumeration and keyboard device profile processing.

Please don't use made-up grammar and then purport to make it seem valid. This just confuses non-English speakers and it only saved you typing one blank space... We have a multi-lingual crowd here and standard grammar will reduce confusion no end. That usage merely tends to confuse.vasily72 wrote:devices're plugged in

I apologize for my bad English. I'm not a native speaker too. Didn't know such construct is incorrect.dizt3mp3r wrote:Please don't use made-up grammar and then purport to make it seem valid.
