I think it's pretty unlikely to work most SD card slots are USB based and ReactOS's USB support has a ways to go before it's feature complete and reliable.

What about using a SC to IDE/SATA adapter?

Should work. At least last time I tried it.
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

What about direct SPI-to-bus embedded MMC controllers?
-uses Ubuntu+GNOME 3 GNU/Linux
-likes Free (as in freedom) and Open Source Detergents
-favors open source of Windows 10 under GPL2
