ReactOS doesnt start

Post by tsoj »

- BOOT CD version
- ReactOS 0.4.6
- I installed it without changing any settings (except the language). The first boot after installing doesn't finish.

Re: ReactOS doesnt start

For some reason, a certain piece of hardware connected to the motherboard isn't compatible/tolerable by ReactOS. The best place to report hardware compatibility issues is JIRA.

Before you're going to report it through JIRA website, make sure you already have some basic debugging skills or knowledge as developers might ask you for debug information. If you haven't learned the basic skills, please read Debugging documentation page.

This post, [ReadThis]ReactOS doesn't work in my computer!!, by vicmarcal describes a quick method of obtaining necessary debug information. (There is no need to read the rest of the multi-page thread.) This method is simpler than the advanced methods described on the ReactOS Wiki's Debugging page.

The topic "[ReadThis]ReactOS doesn't work in my computer!!" always sits at the top of the Support forum's list of topics.
