does it support W7 ??

Post by Caliber »

I get this windows error when I click the mounted image of reactOS ISO... (Daemon Tools Ultra)

''is not a valid Win32 application''

this kind of error usually happens on XP or uncompatible systems but I'm running it on W7 64-bit.... :?

is it possible to burn this image into a USB drive ?

regards

You can't just run it within Windows.

OP - please read this post: https://reactos.org/wiki/Installing_ReactOS

I don't understand what OP is trying to do. When the ReactOS ISO is mounted (so, should appear as an additional CD-ROM drive), double-clicking on it should run the autorun file (of course if one hasn't disabled this functionality on Windows), and a "welcome" 32-bit app should start.

Sounds like something happening if ppl don't google the right thing. "open iso file windows" vs. "operating system" or "reactos install"
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

If my post/reply offends or insults you, be sure that you know what sarcasm is...

It sounds as if we (humans) need some sort of google plugin, a cranial insert to allow google to insert search results (and ads) into one's own thoughts. Who's up for the first insertion? Apologies - plese move me to off-topic permanently. ;)

Microsoft Windows returns this error message when one tries to start a file that is not a Windows-compatible application.

ReactOS is an operating system. It is started by being booted. ReactOS is installed by booting its installation CD. ReactOS is neither started nor installed as application programs are started or installed.

Yes. However ReactOS cannot reliably boot from a USB device at this time.

Caliber, I regret that you failed to adequately describe what you attempted to do.

Caliber, I do not understand why you mentioned DAEMON Tools Ultra.
