I installed the release version 0.4.7 on a virtual machine (VirtualBox).
When I try to install DirectX it fails.
The log looks like this for directX9.0c:

If I were you I would type "reactOS directx" into Google or similar and see what crops up in this forum, read a few of the results and see what has been experienced by others. What you will see is likely to be a lot of fails and one or two installation successes but a failure to operate. In general expect nothing to work but be pleasantly surprised when it does. ReactOS is in Alpha.

DO you realise ReactOS is in Alpha, right? How many times this needs to be explained really?!

I think you're a bit too harsh on OP, I mean it is Support category after all.

To OP: Web installer fails, try using a offline one, but don't expect it to work. You can post additional errors to JIRA if they're not posted yet.

I apology for my harsh post but once you'll see that it starts to get annoying at repeating the same thing all the time really. You can't expect a software to work as you expect on a Alpha-stage OS where everything breaks and stops working.

The "site:" feature used by the major search engines for restricting results to a single web site is useful. I found many answers using the search string "site:ReactOS.org install DirectX". Unfortunately for the OP, many answers will probably be equivalent to "not possible yet".
