Searching for bugs in JIRA

Post by Tobias_B._Besemer »

Because I want to track some bugs and I want to get informed when they be fixed...
...I'm searching for some bugs in JIRA and it would be nice if I get some help in finding them...

First one: Tracking-Bug about NTFS Support

Also: There was in a doc mentioned, that ReactOS should be (in future) able to use the NTFS-Driver of WinXP...
Is there a bug to it?
Is it fixed?
Is there a how-to to it?

Then: Tracking-Bug about new USB-Driver-Support

Then: Direct delete with Shift+Del

Then: Nullsoft-Installer-Problem when installer try to install in %SystemDrive%
Found by:
- VLC
- Spybot S&D
- UltraDefrag
- XnViewMP

And: Problem with MSVCR90.dll by Spybot S&D
(I copied MSVCR90.dll into reactos\system32\ because S&D needs it for install, but I get now an error by the installer...)

JIRA uses the same credentials as your forum log-in that you used to make this post:
https://jira.reactos.org

After you're logged in, there is a search bar in the top right of the page.
Everything there is completely open to collaboration and it's encouraged you search and comment on related tickets first before opening new ones, but you are more than welcome to open new ones, also.
JIRA might be a bit confusing at first sight, but after you get the hang of searching, commenting, creating, etc., usefulness of the other features will slowly come into play as you get more familiar with the system.

NTFS issues:
https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-10 ... %22NTFS%22

USB Driver issues:
https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-73 ... 0driver%22

Hotkey issues:
https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-69 ... 2hotkey%22

Nullsoft issues:
https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-16 ... ullsoft%22

Spybot issues:
https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-87 ... 2spybot%22

There is already a resolved issue related to your exact Spybot issue:
https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-8765

If someone have the exact links to the bugs, that would be helpful.

Yes, seems the S&D-Problem is solved...

To search for bugs or issues in the ReactOS JIRA:
  1. Log into the ReactOS JIRA, the project's issue tracker.
    1. Go to the ReactOS.org home (front) page
    2. Choose the "JIRA" link at the top of the page.
    3. The JIRA "System Dashboard" or login page should appear.
    4. Use the same login credentials (username and password) that you use on the ReactOS Forum.
  2. At the top of the JIRA page there is a dropdown list marked "Issues". Choose that list.
  3. Select "Search for issues" from the "Issues" dropdown list. The "Search" page will appear.
  4. JIRA has basic and advanced search modes. These instructions use the basic search mode. If on the row of functions below the name of the page ("Search") the word "basic" appears immediately to the right of the search icon (a magnifying glass) then choose "basic" to switch to the basic search mode. When the mouse is over the correct search icon, the words "Search for issues" will appear.
  5. To search for only issues for the ReactOS software, choose the "Project..." dropdown list from the row of functions below the name of the page ("Search"). From the list check the box marked "Core ReactOS (CORE).
  6. To search the selected project(s) for issues containing the string "NTFS", type NTFS into the search box. In basic search mode this box is narrow and contains the words "Contains text". Overtype those words with your search string.
  7. Start the search by choosing the search icon. When the mouse is over the correct search icon, the words "Search for issues" will appear.
  8. A list of the issues found will appear and the first issue in the list will be automatically selected for viewing.
  9. Click the issue you wish to view.
  10. To limit the issues to only open issues, choose the button marked "Status...". If the list has already been limited, the button will be labeled with the type of issue chosen. Check the box of the status to which you wish to limit the issues shown.
  11. Scroll bars are available for moving in the list of results and for moving in the issue selected for viewing.
  12. When you wish to log out of JIRA, choose the dropdown list at the upper right corner of the JIRA page. It is marked with an icon of a face (representing you, the user, I suppose). Choose "Log Out".

To explain it better:
I'm familiar with e.g. Mozillas Bugzilla and know how to search there for open Meta-Bugs...
But I'm new to this project and JIRA and ATM hopeless lost... ^^
