Installation

Post by richardu »

I have a HP DV6000 model. I've replaced the HARdrive with an SSD. I created a DVD disk with the REACTOS iso. But it comes up no operating system? Whats going on. Any news on the USB boot.

It could be because your device is running in UEFI mode. React OS only works in legacy mode. You can search online to see how to change the mode. If it is in legacy mode, then try pressing F12, use the arrow keys to get to the CD ROM option, then press enter. If neither of these work, try writing the ISO to the CD again.

As for USB, it's not officially supported yet. However, you can try Vgals ReactOS USB modded ISO image if you want.

Providing a web link to the manufacturer's specification page would be helpful. Here's a start: HP Retired Products.
