Dual booting with linux

Post by nickjohnson »

Hello,

My work has finally convinced me that I need windows on my laptop. I would like to dual boot linux with reactos.

My laptop has an existing linux installation, and I am very hesitant to want to re-install linux.

So, is it (a) possible to tell reactos to install only on a specified partition, and (b) boot it via grub?

Has anyone tried this before?

Thanks,
Nick

can ReactOS be installed after Linux is installed?

Post by Pollywog »

I am running Debian Etch and I know that it is better to install Linux after MS Windows. Does the same hold true for ReactOS; that it should be installed before Linux is installed?

I already have a dual boot situation on the machine, XP and Debian.
Is adding a third OS feasible if I have sufficient disk space?

Thanks

Welcome to ReactOS !!
Please bear in mind that ReactOS 0.3.0 is still in alpha stage and is not recommended for everyday use.
