Compiling r15390 using GCC 4 on Windows

Post by TiKu »

Hi,

I'm trying to compile ReactOS using GCC4 on Windows. At first, I installed this snapshot of MinGW. Then I copied the content of this zip file over my MinGW installation and set the environment variables.

Now if I try to compile revision 15390 using make, I get the following error:

Code: Select all

<snipped>\reactos>make
process_begin: CreateProcess((null), gcc -dumpmachine, ...) failed.
process_begin: CreateProcess((null), gcc -g -o ./tools/mkconfig ./tools/mkconfig.c, ...) failed.
make (e=2): Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden.
make: *** [tools/mkconfig] Error 2
Is revision 15390 broken or am I doing something wrong?

it seams you have a broken installation of mingw, try to manual call:
gcc -dumpmachine
it should say "mingw"

Got it working now. However, the current code doesn't seem to be compilable with GCC4. I get many errors, so I'm using my old build environment again. I'll give GCC4 a try from time to time.

It's already linked in my first post in this thread.;) I've correctly used this package (at least I hope so :D), but the code won't compile.

Thanks anyway.
