Hello, I found a bug in latest release (only with GMP library, IEEE version handles this correctly). Start the calculator, then:

Code: Select all

0,2 -> inv -> sin -> +/-
harddrive started trashing and app froze for the first time I've done that, every other time calculator crashed instantly.

It already is
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

If my post/reply offends or insults you, be sure that you know what sarcasm is...

Hi, I have found a little problem in newest Calc. In ReactOS, compiled Calc displays diacritics in my (Czech) language normally and also when the executable is copied to Windows. But both versions downloaded from SourceForge have diacritics all messed up, see screen:
[ external image ]
I guess there has been wrong codepage set during compilation.

EDIT: Also there is overflow in conversion mode, which could be filtered into windows-like "invalid input data".

Hello.
If the calculator compiled into ReactOS' build tree looks good while the one at sourceforge looks bad, then it cause be caused by the ASCII layout.
Actually the executable at sourceforge has been compiled for running on Win9x too.
I will release a binary compiled as UNICODE as soon as possible.

I have not understood the "overflow" problem in conversion dialog, could you give me some more informations, please?

Sincerely,

Carlo Bramini.

Hi all,
I bought a working "Rockwell 24K II" metal case calculator from the seventies.
Perhaps its look would be a good design inspiration for a calc software.

I will use the IEEE version, because it's tiny bit easier to show on it. For example, I want to convert 1 kilometer to milimeters, so I select it and click on Convert 3 times. There should be something like 1e18 now. One more click on Convert and there is now definitely a lower value than was before.
