I want a Na'vi language sub-forum!

Post by Witch »

Hi ReactOS mods!

I want to translate ReactOS into the Na'vi language. Can you create a language sub-forum for me to organize all the files and Na'vi translation discussions?

Creation of new language subforums is subject to a visible and widespread demand.

(FYI, I can't tell if either of you is serious. Please pardon me.) If this truly is an open source project, shouldn't people be able to contribute freely? Like creating a translation and adding it to the project?

It's up to the developers to decide whether to accept contributions. An open source license still does not give you the right to impose burden on them.

Creation of a translation and adding it to the project does not require that a separate subforum be created.

If you wish you can translate to Na'vi, klingon or binary language.
But as far as I know we need at least 30 Na'vis regular users to open a Na'vi subforum. xD

Without visibility and presence how can you attract widespread demand?

I doubt it will attract many users — even Japanese and other such forums are almost dead.

While we're at it, we need a sub-forum for Simlish too!

Can I interpret that as an OK to use the Japanese sub-folder as a storing point for my Na'vi documentations?
Which has the function as receipt and validation tickets for each of the hundreds of translation files that is going to be proofread by 5-10 Na'vi linguists next to me from day one.

I mean since all the programmers in Japan is busy doing advanced AI programming and mecha for retired senior citizens anyways.
What's the harm in me doing some recycling of unused resources in the ReactOS forum?

I think it won't cause discontent among the Japanese forum users. :) Though I can only speak for the Thai ‘sub-folder’ (where I'm a moderator).

No na'vi in here and btw, not in then japanese forum too. I wanted tom add Klingon too, but keep it private. We support real languages here
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

If my post/reply offends or insults you, be sure that you know what sarcasm is...
