Google ad-sense, website updates, request for donates, etc.

Post by frik85 »

Google Ad-Sense is now beside the ReactOS Main Website also placed in the Forum, Wiki and our own Paste Service.

We hope that we gain some money through this advertisement to pay the expensive hosting and hardware for the servers.

We are currently updating the content of a lot of main website pages, as one of the first things visitors may notice, is the updated website main menu. Also the Website Global Login System got an update which fixed among other things the logout bug.

Please consider to donate some money to the ReactOS Foundation: http://www.reactos.org/?page=foundation_donate

If you have any problems with the website, please visit the ReactOS Website Forum, file a bug in bugzilla and/or visit #reactos-web irc channel.

Other topics in Adsence...

Post by Linuxhippy »

Hi there,

Is there any way to influence the topics of AdSence. I just can speak for me but I don't want to hurt small opensource companies that promote open-source.
For .NET or Windows-Tuneup ads I don't hestitate to click ;))

By the way will there be a list how much money reactos took in with the Ads?

Are you getting money per click-through? If so, I'd be happy to click away at work every now and then ;)

Yes, we get money, but don't go overboard. Only click links that you actually do find interesting.

The link to the people map is on the community page.

Site Update needed- Short Term Plan

Post by mrmrmrkevin »

The short term plan on http://www.reactos.org/en/index.html should be made more accurate now that it's already May.

 "The next release will be 0.3.5, with an earliest projected release date being April, 2008. "

Note the word "earliest", and this is off topic for the thread.
