I like the "Each version have it's own bootscreen" idea. Nothing too wildly different, but something that would mark them apart, like Windows does with its. Maybe untill 1.0.0 each screen could have a representation of what the major features are? Like 0.3.0 could have a stlyized Cat5/6 cable doing something. Would look nice IMO, I'd even fire up The GIMP and add my contribution if it would start this off :D

Could you create this uniQ? That would be cool. Even if it doesn't get to the bootscreen it could be a custom wallpaper for each version.

I'll try, but I have 3 questions to begin with:

Where can I get a fullsize pick of the current bootscreen (I don't have CVS, but if that's necissary I'll get it)?
What's the name of the font that is used to spell "ReactOS" ? I'd like to have my text look similar if possible.
What major feature(s) should this be about?

Download the ReactOS source code from:
http://reactos.csh-consult.dk/index.php?page=snapshots (today's build from CVS)

Extract the 'tar.gz' file (e.g. with 7zip or WinRar)

Bootscreen file: reactos\drivers\dd\bootvid\bootimage.bmp

OK, I'm getting the bootscreen and I'll have Netwking (TCP/IP) and Sound. Anyone know what font it is? Or who can tell me?

GRR! I keep getting this, but from my own personal mail svr AND Yahoos:

<stevecokeram@hotmail.com>:
65.54.167.5 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable
Giving up on 65.54.167.5.

Ideas? This is the only way that his page on ROS.com said to list him.

I like that.

I think it's a good idea to keep the original template as you have done and add to it.

Familiarity is important IMO
