I am a retired IT tech that now likes to play with computer related hardware and software. I have installed ReactOS on real hardware & considering it's in alpha it works pretty well. I did run into several issues though & would like to donate the notebook I used to someone that knows more about programming that would benefit from having real hardware to see the problems & their effect. The notebook is an HP Compaq Presario V2000 that originally came with Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2. I have the original CDs & DVDs that came with it so I have 2 hard drives that I would send with it. The 1 hard drive is the computer completely reloaded back to its factory state with SP3 also installed on it. The 2nd hard drive has ReactOS installed on it. I was able to use the DVD with the drivers that came with the computer to update ReactOS to install the drivers for the audio & WLAN. Both of these now work using wlanconf to connect to the WIFI. The other drivers have various problems.
CAN SOMEONE READING THIS HELP ME CONTACT THE RIGHT PERSON TO TALK TO?
- The only people who knows more about programming are ReactOS developers. Contant them using our chat: https://chat.reactos.org/reactos/channels/town-square --binarymaster (talk) 17:15, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
