I have this problem too...
Important to say, if I do a install from the CD, React boots correctly.
Also, the error does still manifests if I do a "make install" and copy the
system folder to the root of the partition, and then try to boot from it
without putting anything more besides freeldr.sys and freeldr.ini in the
root...
