------- Comment #1 from fireball at reactos.com 2007-07-14 21:51 CET -------
Second test batch Performed by gabriel_it with Caemyr`s support. Initial
regression range was supposed to be 20382-25639. Objective:

[19:03:51] <hpoussin> find when new device wizard disappears when using MS npfs

Testing sequence very similar to first batch. Booting to 3rd stage with
original npfs to check if new device wizard window appears, then cancel it.
After reboot, all the new device windows are supposed to reappear (cancelling
is essential for them to reappear). After that, kernel32/file/npipe.c is
edited, uncommenting a #define USING_PROPER_NPFS_WAIT_SEMANTICS, kernel32 is
recompiled, disk image is edited and new kernel32.dll with win2k3 npfs.sys are
placed in it, overwriting the original files. Then, image is run again to check
if all cancelled new device wizard windows appear again. In nonclear cases,
changes are reverted (this means putting original npfs.sys and kernel32.dll
from the ISO to disk image and running again). If new hardware wizard windows
does not appear with win2k3.sys and modified kernel32.dll, the test on this
revision is considered as FAILED. If they appear, the test is SUCCESSFUll.

gabriel_it managed to find the regressing revision. Revision that FAILED was
20167, with 20166 last one SUCCESSFULL.

In the testing process, revision 20150 was found SUCCESSFULL but INCONCLUSIVE,
as not all new devices windows appeared with modified kernel32 and win2k3 npfs.
It requires futher tests if this is only a one revision case or a partial
regression.
