Hello,
Anyone working on Win32k and the regsitry please follow this. I have
been playing around trying to get a recent version of Winzip to work
under ReactOS for the past few weeks. Using the WINE dlls it will
almost allow you to load Winzip32.exe under ReactOS. It seems Winzip
was bombing on version.dll. It used to display a messagebox with a
Network error from kernel32.dll. It seems that our version.dll is just
stubs that call call GET_LAST_ERROR or something. Anyway so I have
created a updated package with the WINE version.dll hacked for ReactOS
at
http://mail.gleneagle.net/sedwards/wineros.zip
You will need to delete your C:\reactos\system32\version.dll and then
extract these dlls to your WinZip directory. Once you have done this
you can now attempt to load Winzip and it will check for your "C:\My
Documents" folder and redraw the screen to promptly crash when calling
DrvEnablePDev from Win32k.sys. It seems that there is a issue reading
from the regisitry when this is called as I have outlined as bug 77 in
bugzilla.

Thanks
Steven
