Yes! That was it... I found out that it probably was an Installation of 
MS Visual Studio. Thanks very much. I now have replaced the 
bin/mingw32-make.exe by the make.exe from the 
make-3.79.1-20010722.tar.gz archive. I hope that doesn't make problems...
